Lake Lyndon

We went to Lake Lyndon on the 12th of December. We went in cars with our parents. We stopped on Telegraph Road to look at the Canterbury Plains turn into the hills and mountains. We had a snack at Darfield and a play in the playground. Then we drove to the Rakaia Gorge bridge to see the river coming down from the mountains. We drove across the bridge to look at the water. Then we went to Springfield for a toilet stop. After that we drove through the mountains to Lake Lyndon. We had lunch and a big walk around the lake. We got so tired that Daniel's dad went back to get a truck to give us a ride the rest of the way. Then we played a quick game of duck,duck,goose. We went back to school and 9 of us had a sleep in the cars on the way home.

Room 2 had a great time on our trip.

Merry Christmas

Room 2 and Room 1 did some Christmas trees. It was fun. We have to colour in the bells each day. It is the third of December today.

Maths on Mufti

On Friday 31st of August we had a mufti day at school. We raised money for daffodil day. We liked choosing our clothes to come to school in and we had free choice at maths time. We had a great time because we shared the equipment and played quietly together

Jump Jam

Today we did jump jam. It’s a dance and it is fun. The song we all like is The Witchdoctor.

Sharing in assembly

In assembly today we shared our dance with the whole school. We like this dance because we get to move on to a new partner. The outside people stay in their place and the inside people move on to a new partner. Everybody liked our dance.
Room 2

Friday 3 August Our special table

Today is the day when Miss Harrold chooses a special worker to work at our special table. This week Ricky has been sitting at this table. Next week it will be Shania who will work at the special table. She will get some stickers to give to other good workers in Room 2.
To sit at the special table we have to work really hard and concentrate.
Shania is very happy that she is working at the special table next week.

Things we like to do

In our class room we play with klikko, multi link, puzzles, rods, toy animals, snakes and ladders and ludo. We read books and work on the computer and listen to stories on the listening post.

At Dunsandel School we don’t hurt and we listen to the teacher. We help each other when they are hurt. The older people help the younger kids.

We made gingerbread men. It was fun. We got to colour them in. We stacked them like stairs.

At Dunsandel School we have a big playground. We have two sandpits. We play tag at the playground. Logan likes the swinging bars. So does Casey. Matt likes the swings. Bailey likes everything.
